Layo M. Nathan is a TRAGER® Tutor as well as

California for eight years where the TRAGER® Institute was first established, and
was fortunate to have trained with, and assisted Dr. Milton Trager.
In Australia, where she spent the following eight years, Layo taught TRAGER®
workshops, organised trainings and ‘grew’ a TRAGER® community of over fifty
Practitioners, and students.
At present she is living in Northern Ireland, and is available for sessions,
tutorials, TRAGER® workshops, Mentastics® Movement
classes and demonstrations of the TRAGER® Approach.
"I met Dr. Trager in 1986, and was touched by his directness, honesty,
humility, and the power of his relaxed, compassionate presence. I had been a
massage therapist for five years previously, but I was having so many back
problems that I knew something had to change. TRAGER® work taught me to be aware
of how I was using my body, and to develop a quality of ease and comfort in
everyday life, which I could then teach to my clients.
"Dr Trager’s guidance that, ‘The mind is everything. The body is
just dumb flesh’, and ‘ Hook-up is the key ingredient in
promoting change’ have kept me enquiring and growing in understanding of
this work for the past seventeen years.
"The TRAGER® Approach provides us with a physical modality, which also
reaches and soothes the mind, while the mental gymnastics, or ‘Mentastics’
teach us to ease the body through gentle questioning, "What could be
lighter? freer? Hmm?" What a wonderful partnership!
Body and mind coming into harmony in this way!
The key to making it work is the relaxed, focussed
awareness, which Dr Trager called ‘hook-up’, a sense of connectedness to
everything.
"Whether the discomfort is the result of stress, accident, disease or
work-related postural habits, you can learn how to ease discomfort and
rediscover well-being with the TRAGER® Approach. I did."
